Coming Up

 Paean To The Honest Choice

Here grew a simple sense of magic
Built there within that truly tragic
Time in which my heart would not retreat
And looking toward the skies above entreat
What angels there to suffer me to flee
All the dark world round and be with thee

Counterpunctilious

Dark Delights

A frisson of dark delight…
…why did all the apples fall to the ground
A wisp of illicitness in the morning mist…
…just then, while that smoke lingered
A ravel of treachery in the ensuing engagement…
…incessantly; noxious
And restless, questing into the somber fray…
…as years of misliving bend and twist us into mislife
Under the dark now, singing its bright when…
…and, with a whimpering, hollow our fairest deeds.

How I Think About Poetry

The restless mind, questing more
Sings a path across the fray
Beneath the purseus, violent sky
Begat within it’s summer day
That no one should regret it’s time
It’s songs are always soft with joy
And pleasures flow within its span
What art it has it will deploy
There may be morrows in its ken
And greens before it’s wandering goal
Murmured hints of darkling favors
Bend and twist it’s eager soul
Then on an incandescent eve
It within me sang so soft
A paean of mortal turbulence
That once again drove hope aloft
It’s joy must need a sacrifice
and doom now looked twice in the eye
As all the good that steals today
Twists tomorrows dreams awry

Big Foot

Sometimes, when the moonlight is just right and the mist creates the perfect mood, I barely notice the size of her gigantic feet.

Here The Truth Lies and The Wind Approves

Now this is where the truth does lie
the wind in staunch aplomb
Imparts a coy imprimatur
within its whispering psalm

Besieged amid our trampled souls
In sentient pall immersed
Passions, stalled and pleasures damped
While clowns play as rehearsed

We come to heel as right men when
compassion’s measure wanes
For all our strength and power can’t hold
Against obdurate banes

An interregnum if you will
With sense’s king deposed
Tomorrow not yet coronate
Our joy for now foreclosed

Oh bear off gloomy fecklessness
And make our dreams be bright
The days wait long for nights eclipse
Its insolent sway in flight

Clowns can’t sing the songs of men
And keep their shadows bold
While all the doom songs dissipate
And fear itself grows old

Attack, attack the livid root
The very soul of men
The sensitized nerve plexi shriek
It is beyond their ken

If souls grow old and hearts be young
And nature does its best
To bear us up into the night
On loves endearing crest

One understands as most who come
To these imperfect shoals
That joy is in the traveled path
And not imagined goals

What are the chances?

Jerry wants you to know:
“epistemology” is not the study of wetting one’s pants because one is too
engrossed in BLOGGING to go to the john.

Now this is where the truth does lie

If we accept that absent lies, we have the truth then truth is, like cold being the absence of heat, all that’s left when lies are gone!  Here is a good example of twiddling  with relationship and “cross domain mapping” to arrive at a position that is difficult to accept and equally difficult to refute.
