3. Critique of Plum Creek Plan: The Board has previously agreed to develop a critique of the Plum Creek before the end of this month. I will have some recommendations for the Board’s consideration at this meeting.

4. Critique of Burnt Jacket Subdivision: February 1, 2006, there will be a public hearing on MacPherson’s Burnt Jacket subdivision in Beaver Cove. The Board may or may not wish to pass along some comments. I recommend very generic comments regarding the perceived impact on services, and defer to the Town of Beaver Cove as to whether this will be a good project or not.

5. LURC Regional Comprehensive Plan: At the January 18, 2006 Selectmen’s Meeting, a member of the Board requested that this item be added to the agenda. In particular, the request is for the Board to send a letter to the Land Use Regulation Commission (LURC), requesting that LURC complete a regional comprehensive plan for the unorganized territories surrounding Moosehead Lake, similar to the so-called Rangeley Plan.

6. Landfill Update: As of this draft, the Town of Greenville has yet to hear from the Maine Department of Environmental protection (DEP) regarding the Town’s request to continue operation of our landfill with certain additional corrective actions. Also, the Town has a per diem arrangement with landfill contractor David Eastman through February 1, 2006, which is also the date by which the DEP agreed to give the Town an answer. A member of the Board of Selectmen has requested to have this item added to the agenda to discuss our options following February 1, 2006.
